Ph.D. in Economics and Finance (PEF)
The Ph.D. in Economics and Finance (PEF) programme is designed to ensure that students gain advanced knowledge of key areas of Economics, Econometrics and Finance. The curriculum starts with intensive courses, followed by two years of advanced studies and own original research. State-of-the-art courses cover a broad range of topics including theoretical and empirical research methodology. Career Day for Economists
Once a year our MEcon students have the unique opportunity to meet and network with our MEcon alumni at our Career Day for Economists. They give insights into their career paths, experiences and entry opportunities at an Apéro with Career Speed Dating.
HSG Career & Corporate Services (CSC)
The Career & Corporate Services (CSC) division supports all students at the University of St.Gallen in their career planning. The CSC opens doors and offers platforms to bring students into contact with different employers. They accompany and advise students on their way to the right career choice and point out various perspectives with workshops, events with firms and companies as well as a job platform.
HSG Mentoring Programme
The HSG mentoring programme promotes students at the Bachelor’s , Master’s and Ph.D. level in their personal development and professional growth. The University of St.Gallen provides a suitable framework for the mentoring through connecting experienced persons (mentors) with students (mentees), and providing advisory services to all involved.
The mentoring programme is a cooperation between the University of St.Gallen and HSG Alumni to promote an exchange of knowledge between university, students and alumni. Over 80% of the mentors who transfer their knowledge and experience are alumnae and alumni of the HSG.
